Klaus P. Hagen, of Sellersville, PA, passed away suddenly at his home on Friday, April 12, 2024. He was 67.
He was the loving husband of Kathrine M. (Hediger) Hagen and recently celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary on January 15.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Fritz and Toni (Leininger) Hagen. Klaus graduated from Olney High School, Philadelphia, in 1974.
While in high school, he attended the Technical Trade School to be a machinist. Soon after high school, he made a career in auto body. Klaus went on to work in a few auto body shops, namely Quality Coach of Montgomeryville and Jerry’s Auto Body of Souderton. He attained his life-long dream in 2001; opening Klaus’ Auto Body in Coopersburg, specializing in repairs, restorations and custom paint. Jared worked by his father’s side until they retired the family business, July of 2023.
He was a member of the Holy Savior Bocce Club, Norristown, scoring points for the Fahrvergnugen and Xenos Bocce teams. He loved classic cars, especially restoring his 1973 Mercury Cougar XR7 Convertible and Jared’s 1971 Chevelle. An avid hunter and nature enthusiast, Klaus was a member of the Brother’s Nite Club, at “The Lodge”, in Elk County, PA. He loved to fish, especially with his grandchildren; a creative individual with a love of music and the arts. Kathy and Klaus camped often throughout their life together. Yearly family camping trips to Knoebels Amusement Resort brought him great pleasure. Notably chosen as fan of the year 2004 (with twin Konrad) for the Philadelphia Eagles. Diehard Eagles fans, they traveled to many away games to cheer the Eagles to victory. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends. Klaus was always considered the life of the party.
Surviving with his wife are three children, Miranda L. Wagner, her husband James, of Doylestown, PA, Valerie A. Giannini, her husband Michael, of Sellersville, PA and Jared D. Hagen, of Sellersville, PA, his girlfriend Juliet Taylor and her daughter Ava Dodd; two grandchildren, Madeline R. Gebhard, her significant other, Austin Bishop, and Holden P. Giannini; one great-grandson, Nico James Bishop, and his twin brother, Konrad J. Hagen and his wife, Kathleen, of Lorrain, OH. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Reinhard and Manfred Hagen and two sisters, Rose Adamczyk and Helma Kulp.
His memorial service will be held at 12 p.m. on Monday, April 22, 2024 at the Suess-Gahman Funeral Home, 606 Arch Street, Perkasie, PA, where family and friends may call from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
