Continuum of Care Programs in Pennsylvania are receiving $147,967,483, including $1,996,724 for projects in Bristol and Bensalem, that provide housing assistance and/or supportive services to people experiencing homelessness, as well as costs related to planning and data collection.
The funds are part of the nearly $3.16 billion in Continuum of Care Program Awards announced earlier this year by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for over 7,000 projects. This represents the largest-ever CoC Program funding awarded to communities to address homelessness ... at a time when rates of homelessness are rising in most communities.
Included in the awards total is approximately $136 million for Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program (YHDP) renewal and replacement grants and approximately $57 million for new projects to support housing and service needs for survivors of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking.
